Byron Malcom

President and Founder of Treehouse Cannabis Co.

Byron is the quintessential Renaissance Man. He holds degrees from St.Lawrence University in Mathematics (Bachelors) and General Education (Masters) and worked as an educator for several years before branching into facilities management, carpentry, property management, and eventually, cannabis. Byron is also a long-time sailor, musician, and athlete.

The idea for Treehouse Cannabis Co was born from a desire to find more holistic approaches to managing the wellness of himself and his family members. Byron, and his wife, have two daughters and a menagerie of pets that have all benefited from the innovation of the CBD and/or THC products developed at Treehouse.  

Outside of Treehouse, you can find Byron making music on a variety of instruments, teaching his daughters a new skill, or enjoying a beer with his wife on their back deck.

Stephanie Malcom

Marketing Director

Steph is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a private practice in Topsham, Maine. She holds a Bachelor of Science from St.Lawrence University and a Masters of Social Work from the University of New England. Steph is also a long-time CrossFit coach and competitor. With training in both mental and physical health, Steph has adapted her therapeutic style to focus on the mind-body connection and brings this extensive knowledge to the Treehouse team.  

Steph and Byron have two daughters who are active roughly 26 out of 24 hours each day. Outside of work, Steph can be found carting kiddos to various activities, practicing Olympic Lifts at the gym, or trying to talk Byron into a ridiculously long workout.

Lamar Burlingame

Administrative Director

Lamar is a traveler of the world, especially the tropics. She holds bachelors degrees in Chemistry and Anthropology, and continues to teach herself in many other areas of interest. Her journey into cannabis started with a curiosity about the science behind the plant, particularly how different delivery systems interact with the body. She believes there is more to the plant than just the psychoactive high. This led to expanding her skills in educating the community while working in retail cannabis before finding Treehouse.

Her favorite Treehouse product is the ‘Funny Honey’. She loves mixing it in her nightly tea, which helps her sleep without the hangover. She enjoys traveling the world with her dog Peanut Butter and lounging by the beach.

Troy Palmatier

Extraction and Product Making

Troy loves being active and working with his hands. A long time carpenter who has always been interested in the solventless extraction process. When Troy is not swinging his hammer he is washing hash, pressing rosin, and helping create new products at Treehouse. His goals as part of the Treehouse team are to continue developing the art of solventless extractions. He is also interested in finding new processes to create unique products all the while dissolving the stigma of Cannabis.

His favorite Treehouse products are ‘My Mints’. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, camping, hanging with his dog Tilly, and playing the drums for his band S.C.O.B.Y.. You can also find him sharing peanut butter & jelly sandwiches at lunch with Bodie.

Aaron Stone

Sales and Packaging

Aaron is a jack of all trades.  When he is not rebuilding vintage VWs, painting, playing and restoring instruments, working on small engines, welding, ect… you can find him generating sales and assisting with all kinds of in-house tasks at Treehouse. Outside of Treehouse Aaron works tirelessly to help find and maintain employment for populations living with disabilities. He has been an advocate for Cannabis in many of its varied uses, despite it often being misunderstood. What began initially as a recreational and social activity evolved into a deep appreciation and desire to learn more of the scientific and therapeutic aspects of the plant.

One of his goals in the cannabis industry is to reduce carbon footprints in product packaging and create successful recycling programs. His favorite Treehouse product is the versatile ‘Funny Honey’ which he loves in a Baklava among others.

In his free time he likes to indulge in all things painting including graffiti, playing music, and spending time working on or playing his beloved 1961 Hammond B3 Organ.

Ke’a Coffey

Packaging

Ke’a hails from Central Maine and has found cannabis to be beneficial throughout her life. Ke’a is an early riser and loves being on her feet and staying active. She is also one to not shy away from learning any new task.  She not only prepares product packaging and labeling for all Treehouse products, but also oversees order preparation and shipping, assists with extractions, product making, entertaining Bodie, and jumping into any other needed tasks.

When Ke’a is not cranking away at Treehouse you can find her taking care of her family, including her daughters and three dogs, munching on Treehouse’s ‘My Mints’, listening to loud music, and enjoying her deep appreciation for cannabis and the beneficial aspects it provides.

Bodie Malcom

Best-friend Extraordinaire

Born in the Spring of 2020, Bodie has spent pretty much every minute of his life attached to Byron. His hobbies include snuggling, barking, chewing, chasing sticks, and pretending to look starving so he will be fed a second, third, or 100th time. Bodie tends to be an anxious doggo and takes his CBD every morning to help calm his nerves.
